    suse linux 10.0 hängt beim starten

    tach!
    ich hab nun mehrmals versucht suse linux 10.0 zu installieren.
    nach dem installieren kann ich das system einwandfrei starten.
    wenn ich den rechner dann aber irgendwann ausgemacht oder neugestartet habe, bleibts beim starten einfach stehn, und zwar immer an der selben stelle beim booten, da wo all die laufwerke aufgelistet werden.
    da kann ich warten und warten, und nichts passiert mehr

    habs nun schon 3mal oder so neuinstalliert, beim letzten mal hab ich nach der installation nur das erste mal das system gestarten, nischt gemacht und sofort neugestartet, und dann gings wieder nicht weiter...

    kann mir jemand helfen? :/

    vielleicht solltest du - obwohl anscheinend keine fehlermeldung erscheint - ein bisschen konkreter werden.
    "wo all die laufwerke aufgelistet werden" kann alles moegliche sein...
    poste doch mal die letzte(n) meldung(en) die du sieht bevor das system steht...

    Aber bevor er stehen bleibt steht doch wohl etwas. Was genau?

    Kannst Du, nachdem er steht, mit <strg><ctrl><F1> ein Terminal erreichen?

    Und beschreib Deine HW etwas genauer, insbesondere angeschlossene Laufwerke (welche, wo angeklemmt?) und GraKa.

    so, hab jetzt mein linux gestartet bekommen....

    falls es noch hilfreich ist..
    hardware:
    ati radeon 7500pro
    2x256mb ram
    P4 3,0ghz
    sda -> meine 40gb sata platte (angeklemmt an sata1)
    sdb -> 160gb sata platte (angeklemmt an sata2)
    cd brenner -> nutzt pata

    aber ich hab das problem wohl gefunden, nur weis ich nicht wie ich es behebe..
    ich hab beim starten von suse linux ins terminal gewechselt, wo ja die ganzen details stehen.. da listet er dann die angeschlossenen geräte auf, meine 40gb platte, dann die 160er, und dann kommt er zu meinem cd brenner (pata), da macht er einfach nicht weiter...
    sieht so aus als versucht linux n cd laufwerk zu finden....
    ich hab ne halbe seite weiter oben was gefunden, da stand "FATAL: Module ahci not found".
    ich hab dann mal den brenner vom strom getrennt und den rechner gestartet, und siehe da: linux startet!

    woran kann das liegen?

    hab mir auch die boot.msg angesehen, aber da ist der eintrag nicht zu finden, wo er sonst immer hängt, vielleicht weil ich ja das laufwerk abgeklemmt hab und er deswegen gar nicht erst nach dem laufwerk sucht!?

    so, das thema ist wohl erledigt.
    wenn ich über die linux cd "boot from harddisk" wähl, und dann wie sonst auch immer suse linux 10.0 wähl, gehts.
    merkwürdig... obs auch mit beliebigen anderen cds geht muss ich mal ausprobieren...
    scheint als ob der brenner irgendwie schuld ist.
    aber das find ich schon noch raus...
