    beim Start ausgelastet...

    Hallo,
    ich woltle gestern mein Linux starten, KDE hat aufgebaut und als die ersten Programme vom Autostart noch gar nicht richtig fertig geladen waren (darunter sind gkrellm und firefox) konnte ich fast nicht mehr die maus bewegen. mein gkrellm hat angezeigt: 100% CPU auslast und mein Speicher (1 GB DDR) ist auch völlig belegt! Wenn ich die Maus bewegt habe, konntei ch erst nach 2 Minuten eine Veränderung erkennen. Das Starten einer Konsole etc. wäre fast unmöglich gewesen!
    Aber ich habe auch schon eine Ahnung was es sein könnte. Das passiert erst, wenn die Programme geladen werden und bevor alles geladen wurde, hab ich ganz schnell die Konsole geöffnet und konnte per top sehen, welches Programm für diese imense Auslastung Auslastung zuständig ist. Wenige Sekunden danach hat mein Rechner nicht mehr reagiert...
    Das Ergebnis: gs und foomatic-rip waren die zwei, die die ganzen Resourcen verbraucht haben.
    heute früh habe ich meinen rechner angemacht und ihn laufen lassen, in der hoffnung, wenn er mehrere stunden so stark arbeitet, vielleicht hört es dann auch mal auf (vorher hatte ich das schopn vergebens mit 20 min ausprobiert). als ich jetzt wiedergekommen bin, ca. 10h später konnte ich wieder an meinen rechner! d.h. Speicher war wieder wunderbar frei, das Problem lag an der CPU, Auslastung: immer noch 99-100%.
    top sagte mir, dass gs dran schuld ist, nachdem ich das beendet habe, per pkill, ging auch alles wieder normal, so wie früher. foomatic-rip war aber schon beendet!
    ich nehme also an, dass foomatic-rip (Beschreibung von man: "Universal print filter/RIP wrapper") für die RAM Auslastung zuständig war und gs (=Ghostscript, für PDF Dateien) für die CPU Auslastung.

    ## da ich leider die Logs nicht hier herein schreiben kann, weil die zu groß sind, poste ich sie in die 1. antwort!

    Ich glaube zwar nicht, dass euch die Logs so sonderlich interressieren, aber manchmal findet man darin auch was wissenswertes, aber dazu ist es vielleicht auch zu unübersichtlich...

    OK, also nun die Fragen: ich hatte kürzlich ein Drucker installiert, hängt das irgendwie mit foomatic-rip zusammen, dass das automatisch gestartet wurde? Wie kann ich meinem Linux sagen, dass er am Anfang gs und foomatic-rip nicht starten soll, oder wenn das nicht geht, wie kann ich gleich in den Autostart die Befehle "pkill foomatic-rip", bzw. "pkill gs" schreiben?

    Wäre euch unendlich dankbar, wenn ihr mir helfen könntet!

    hdb ist meine zweite festplatte, die mit fat32 formatiert ist. aber die hatte er nicht erkannt, bzw. konnte nicht auf ihr lesen + schreiben. den grund weiß ich bis heut nicht, aber ich nehme an, dass es an der platte liegt. ich habe sie jetzt jedenfalls aus der fstab gestrichen, weil ich diese lästigen fehlermeldungen satt hatte und gebrauche sie jetzt nur für mein windows

    edit: die beiden programme sind nicht unter den diensten aufgeführt, die bei jedem start gestartet werden, das muss also noch irgendwo anders stehen, dass die beiden zum start gestarten werden, denn im autostartordner von kde sind sie nicht...

    da ich vorher meinen drucker installiert hatte, hatte ich versucht etwas zu drucken und das ging nicht. ich weiß aber nicht mehr, wann das genau war. vielleicht war es genau die sitzung davor, als das anfing. und jetzt will der bei jedem start das ausführen / drucken und es geht nicht, weil er zum einen mit meinem drucker nicht klar kommt (lexmark Z515) und zum anderen weil mein drucker nicht eingeschaltet habe. ich werde mal versuchen, dass in ordnug zu bringen und dann zu resetten. danach werde ich euch bescheid sagen, ob es geklappt hat oder nicht...

    tut mir leid, dass ich euch mit meinem müll zugelabert habe, thread kann somit geschlossen werden!
