    Newbee: Fragen zu fdisk ATI-3D und Desktopsymbole und Eclipse

    Hi Leute,

    bin seit kurzem Linux-User und bin soweit eigentlich zufrieden, komme aber bei folgenden Sachen nicht weiter.

    Hatte testweise mal Mandrake 10.1 installiert, war zwar zufrieden, bin aber jetzt (fürs erste) bei Suse 9.2 hängen geblieben.

    Wie bekomme ich meine Mandrake-Reste aus dem System.

    Suse ist auf /hda6 eingerichtet und läuft stabil, auf /hda1 liegen noch ca. 5gig Mandrake-Reste die ich via Konquerer nicht löschen kann, weil keine Rechte, egal ob als User oder Root. Unmount funktioniert auch nicht...

    Dann meine 3D-Unterstützung...
    Irgendwie scheint der neueste ATI-Treiber 8.16.20 zu laufen und irgendwie doch nicht. Wenn ich Doom3 via kdesu starte, kommt das Game hoch, bleibt aber bei "Inizialising Menüs" (o.ä) hängen, muss ich dann via console killen...

    Dann, was mir fast am wichtigsten ist, wie kann ich die Symbole von Verknüpfungen zu Programmen (z.Bpl. Thunderbird, NeverwinterNights) ändern?
    Weil dieses blaue Zahnrad sieht einmal bescheiden aus, zweitens funktioniert eine Unterscheidung der Links mit differenzierten Symbolen einfach schneller, was ein flüssigeres arbeiten mit dem System sehr entgegen käme...

    Ich adde mal ein paar relavate Informationen, von denen ich denke dass sie relevant sind, wenn mehr Informationen benötigt werden, schreit mich an und ich seh zu was ich machen kann.

    Bitte bedenkt dass ich absoluter Neuling bin und teilweise null Plan hab wo im System ich was finde, auch wenn ich so langsam anfange zu verstehen wie ein Linux-System aufgebaut ist...

    Axo, bevor ichs vergesse, mein Eclipse (JAVA-IDE) krieg ich nicht zum laufen, nicht nur dass sich die Installation sehr schwierig gestaltet hatte, nein auch aus dem Fehlerprotokoll werd ich nicht schlau...

    Ja sorry wegen dem Multi-Thread, bin ja soweit zufrieden mit meinem Rechner, alles in allem ist mir nicht ganz so wichtig als dass ich deswegen einzeln Threads aufmachen müsste...

    Soviel hab ich jetzt schon mitbekommen, mein System wird anscheinend von hda1 aus gebootet, nichts desdo trotz müsste man doch die Mandrake-Leichen entfernen können...

    Hallo,

    also, wenn Du von /dev/hda1 Dateien löschen willst, mußt Du die Partition vorher mounten. Wenn Du allerdings alles löschen willst, ist es wesentlich einfacher, wenn Du die Partition ganz einfach formatierst.

    Soviel hab ich jetzt schon mitbekommen, mein System wird anscheinend von hda1 aus gebootet
    Hmm, woran erkennst Du das?

    also, wenn Du von /dev/hda1 Dateien löschen willst, mußt Du die Partition vorher mounten.
    Irgendwie gibts noch eine andere Möglichkeit eine Partition einzubinden als sie zu mounten.
    Denn obwohl sie bei der Ausgabe von "mount" nicht angezeigt wird, wird die hda1 als Gerät in meinem Konquerer angezeigt.
    Daselbe ist mir schon an meinem DVD-Brenner aufgefallen, er ist im System (KDE) vorhanden, aber das /mnt ist leer, er wird im /dev als /dvdbrenner eingeklinkt...
