    Angry steam 20fps / low fps

    Hallo,

    hab vor langer Zeit schon mal wegen diesem problem ala 20fps unter steam gepostet und dachte mit neuer Cedega Version wird es schon gehen ...ich habe mich wohl geirrt !!

    Gibt es vielleicht spezielle Tunning Einstellungen für Steam! Langsam denke ich dass es an FC 3 liegt, kann das sein! Es ist egal welche Cedega Version ich benutze ist bei allen gleich!

    ja ist aktiv ... soviel ich weis

    hab gerade mal über cedega geteste wieviel fps ich im alten hl habe.. leider auch nicht viel mehr ca 35 fps

    dann liegt das ganze wohl an etwas anderem

    fgl_glxgears
    3410 frames in 5.0 seconds = 682.000 FPS
    3538 frames in 5.0 seconds = 707.600 FPS
    3530 frames in 5.0 seconds = 706.000 FPS
    3537 frames in 5.0 seconds = 707.400 FPS

    glxinfo | grep -i render direct rendering: Yes
    GLX_ATI_render_texture
    OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9800 Pro Generic

    sind diese werte okay

    Auch wenn ich bestimmt gleich wieder gesteinigt werde, aber das Problem ist deine karte der Firma ATI !
    Die ATI Treiber unter Linux sind naja, drücken wir es so aus, lange nicht so gut wie die Nvidia treiber. Und ausserdem werden ATI karten von Cedega noch nicht ganz so gut unterstützt.
    Nachdem ich mir damals 3 mal eine ATI X800 bestellt hatte die überall nicht lieferbar war (was fürn Glück) habe ich mir eine 6800gt bestellt, im nachhinein war das die richtige entscheidung!

    Ich hatte vorher auch mit einer ATI 9700 herumprobiert, die war unter Linux nicht ganz so schnell wie die NV 4200.... das war ein traugiges Ergebnis.

    ich muss leider auch sagen das die nvidia Karten besser ala Treiber unter Linux laufen ... da es mit meiner alten nvidia Karte unter Suse ging ...

    lol empfehlen is gut. wenn du das nötige kleingeld hast, kaufst du dir ein sli board und 2 Geforce 7. Kostet halt auch 1200€ oder mehr für 2 grafikkarten und ein Motherboard hin

    Wenn du nicht gerade eine Goldmiene daheim hast, reicht eine Geforce 6800Gt sicherlich

    für ne 6800 brauche ich auch ne goldgrube^^
    da lass ich das lieber mit dem spielen, so wichtig ist es auch nicht(und es gibt ja noch win(schade, dass ich sowas sage))

    SLI ist eh schwachsinn. Kauf dir eine 6800GT oder 6800Ultra , dann ist alles gut.

    Ich habe mir kürzlich eine 6600 GT von XFX zugelegt, und bin voll zufrieden. Doom3, UT2004, etc. läuft alles bestens.
    Ein kleiner Unterschied zur Radeon 9500 Pro
    Und dafür brauchst du keine Goldgrube, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis dieser KArten ist eines der besten im Moment.
    Es ist zu spät.
