ATI: fglrx Modul und Start von X

Servus!

ich hab da ein Problem, ich hab die ATI Treiber erfolgreich installiert, kann das Modul auch via modprobe fglrx fehlerfrei laden, nur irgendwie sagt der X Server dass er das Modul fglrx nicht findet.

Hab auch schon probiert alles neu zu machen, aber ohne Erfolg, es kommt der Selbe Fehler dabei raus:

Anscheinend lag es an dem rpm. Kan ich mir aber auch irgendwie nicht vorstellen, weil ich bei meiner vorherigen Installation auch dieses RPM benutzt hab und da hat es funktioniert. Komische Sache... aber hauptsache die 3D Beschleunigung funktioniert jetzt richtig.

Noch was anderes, im KDE ist jetzt die Schrift so klein seit dem ich die 3D Beschleunigung aktiviert hab. Hast du eine Ahnung wie ich die wieder normal (also größer) bekomm? Ich hab ja unter den Schrifteinstellungen im kcontrol nix geändert.

langsam stosse ich auch an meine grenzen. ich konnte das RPM ohne probleme gemäss dem howto hier installieren. auch das kompilieren des modules funktoinierte, ich kann das modul auch laden.

sobald ich jedoch glxgears starten will erhalte ich folgende fehlermeldung:

also das ist nicht wirklich ein Fehler. Führ es als der Benutzer aus, der auch in X eingeloggt ist.

Du kannst nicht als User "wh" im KDE arbeiten und als root in einer Konsole den Befehl ausführen. Also es geht an sich schon, aber nicht mit dem einen Befehl.

mach glxgears einfach unter deinem Benutzer
