Line lässt sich nicht als Capture setzen

Ich hab' ein Problem mit dem amixer. Ich möchte von dem Line Anschluss etwas aufnehmen. Auf das Commando amixer get Line kommt folgende Ausgabe:

Capture exclusive group: 0
Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right
Capture channels: Front Left - Front Right

Front Right: Playback 28 [90%] [on] Capture [off]

Deutlich zu sehen: Capture steht auf beiden Kanälen auf [off]. Dann kann's ja mit dem Aufnehmen auch nicht klappen. Eigentlich ja kein Problem. Man stellt Capture eben auf [on]. Leichter gesagt, als getan.

Aus der Man-Page hab' ich erfahren, dass folgender Befehl funktionieren müsste:

amixer set Line capture

Bewirkt leider gar nichts. Capture steht nach wie vor auf [off]. Durch Zufall hab' ich gesehen, dass Capture vom Mikrofon-Eingang auf Capture [on] steht.

Dann dachte mich mir schalte ich das erstmal aus, vielleicht kann man immer nur eins als Capture wählen. Aber auch hier bewirkte amixer set Mic nocapture rein gar nichts. Das blieb stur auf on.

Auf alle anderen Befehle, z.B. amixer set Line 90% unmute reagiert er. Nur Capture ignoriert er vollkommen.

Meine Alsa Version ist 0.9.0rc6
Meine Soundkarte ist leider eine On-Board mit Via Chip. Das passende Alsa Modul ist: snd-via82xx

Woran kann das liegen, dass ich Capture nicht umstellen kann?
