GTK Anwendungen finden keine Fonts..

Hi,
alle GTK Anwendungen die ich starte brechen mit dem Fehler

** ERROR **: Failed to match any font. This could be due to a
broken Xft configuration, or if you run XFree 4.1.0 due to a
bug in libXrender. For more information about this,
read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68030

ab.

Ich habe allerdings kein XFree 4.1 sondern 4.2.
Der Fehler fällt für mich schonmal raus.
Wie konfiguriere ich denn Xft (ein Fontserver?) neu?

Hi, ich mal wieder.
Ich habe mir nun wirklich viel Mühe gemacht das Ding wieder hinzubiegen.
Ich habe neue XftConfigs gebastelt, welche kopiert, etc. Nichts funktioniert.
Ich habe versucht XfT in Gnome auszuschalten, hat nicht funktioniert. :/
Außerdem habe ich nach Howtows gesucht, das Forum durchstöbert, was weiss ich noch.
Aber ich kriege es einfach nicht zum laufen.
Kennt irgendwer ein Howto welches mich näher zu Problemlösung bringt?
XfT einrichten?
Ich hatte vorher keine Ahung von Fontservern, jetzt habe ich allerdings auch nicht viel mehr....

Der Bug in xlibrender wird es nicht sein, da mein System auf XFree4.2 läuft.
Als Workaround empfiehlt jemand dort einfach XfT auszuschalten.
Hat einer ne Ahnung wie?
(GDK_USE_XFT ?)
Mal hört man man braucht keine Fontserver mehr ab Xfree4.x, dann benutzen anscheinend dochnoch jede Menge Leute einen (ich ja auch).
