tach,
also, als Augangspunkt dient eine Woody 30r1 auf welchen ich als erstes den backport des akt. XFree86 packages von Daniel Stone [1] installiert hab. Dies lief auch wunderbar in Kombination mit Gnome1.4.
Damit noch nicht zufrieden wagte ich mich an einen Gnome2.2 [2] backport heran.
Nun was soll ich sagen, X funktioniert zwar, aber Gnome stürzt jedes mal beim Laden ab.
Gdm läuft auch nicht gerade brauchbar, das Loginwindow wird komplett flasch gerendert.
Nun aber zum eigentlichen Problem mit Gnome2.2, über die Konsole kann man ja mit 'startx' erstmal gdm umschiffen, aber danach bricht er beim Laden ab.

also, als Augangspunkt dient eine Woody 30r1 auf welchen ich als erstes den backport des akt. XFree86 packages von Daniel Stone [1] installiert hab. Dies lief auch wunderbar in Kombination mit Gnome1.4.
Damit noch nicht zufrieden wagte ich mich an einen Gnome2.2 [2] backport heran.
Nun was soll ich sagen, X funktioniert zwar, aber Gnome stürzt jedes mal beim Laden ab.
Gdm läuft auch nicht gerade brauchbar, das Loginwindow wird komplett flasch gerendert.
Nun aber zum eigentlichen Problem mit Gnome2.2, über die Konsole kann man ja mit 'startx' erstmal gdm umschiffen, aber danach bricht er beim Laden ab.
