Nabend,
ich wollte gerade die 3D Hardware Beschleunigung aktivieren, doch das geht nicht. :(
Also ich hatte die neuesten NVidia Treiber aus der Quellen kompiliert, das auch ohne eine Fehlermeldung,
auch der X-Server startet normal und mit NVidia Logo.
Im Bios habe ich auch Assign IRQ for VGA aktiviert, dass war so ziemlich das einzige was ich gefunden habe, woran es liegen könnte.

Weiß jemand Rat? - wär auf jden Fall super...

Nun ja ich kann bei RedHat unter Systemeinstellungen->Anzeige das Kästchen mit 3D Hardware Beschleunigung nicht aktivieren,... (man kann nicht reinklicken).
Oder ist das eher normal?

Keine Ahnung, ob das RedHat Zeugs mit den Nvidia Treibern zusammenarbeitet.

Lass doch mal glxgears laufen, dann siehst Du schon, ob Du Hardwarebeschleunigung hast oder nicht.

Sind die Werter in Ordnung? - Ich kannte glxgears ehrlich gesagt noch nicht...

Ja, denke schon, dass das okay ist. Wobei die CPU sicher auch noch reinspielt, aber ich hab auch eine GF2-MX und komme unoptimiert auch so um die 1200 frames.

Aber das ist ja kein Benchmark, der sagt ja nur ganz grob und ungenau aus, ob Du HW-Beschleunigung hast oder nicht.

Also die Werte blos nicht überschätzen.

IMHO ist bei Dir alles bestens.

Ich hätte ja auch mal ein Spiel zum Testen installieren können... hm auf sowas kommt ich auch nicht tz.
