"Alt Gr" Tastenkombinationen

hallo

folgendes problem:
wenn ich der konsole (ohne X) folgende tastenkombination eingebe "AltGr"+"2" erscheint wie gewünscht ein "at"-zeichen, wenn ich aber den X-server starte und im Eterm oder browser oder mail-client oder sonstirgendwas die gleiche kombination eingebe, passiert nichts....ausser dass im Eterm folgendes erscheint: (arg: 2)....bzw. die jeweilige ziffer.

hat jemand ne idee ? komischerweise lief das ganze eigentlich seit der installation vor ca. 2 wochen einwandfrei und ich habe seitdem am X-server keine änderungen vorgenommen.

Die Option nodeadkeys ist es.
ev. musst du die locals neu generieren.

habe versucht die option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys" in das XF86Config-4 file einzufügen....leider ohne erfolg.

was meinst du genau mit "locals neu generieren" bzw. wie mache ich das ? meinst du xf86config ausführen ?

Hmm, bin mir nicht ganz sicher. Ich hatte auf jedenfall das gleiche Problem und jetzt ist es gelöst.

Probiermal
- "kbdconfig" als user
- "dpkp-reconfigure locales" als root

dpkp-reconfigure locales kennt mein mandrake nicht.....kbdconfig hat leider auch nichts gebracht.

Ups, dachte es sei Debian. Dort kannst du ev. einfach ein entsprechendes Packet installieren?
