moins... also ich hoffe hier kann mir jemand helfen... ich bin ganz neu in der linuxwelt und bin grad am versuchen xine (den mediaplayer um auch dvds zu schauen) zu installieren... das ./configure geht auch ganz normal, aber ich kann danach nicht wie in der anleitung beschrieben "make" "make check" "make install" ausführen..... hier noch die log datei:

Also ich bin ja, was selbstkompilieren angeht, auch noch reichlich Anfänger, aber wenn er bei dir noch nicht einmal "make" findet, dann scheint mir das Problem nicht mit dem Programm selbst zusammenzuhängen. Schau mal, ob du das überhaupt installiert hast.

öhm was soll ich da installieren? make ist doch nur ein befehl oder? da kann ich doch nix für installieren?

EDIT: ah tatsächlich... ist ja komisch, dass das nicht automatisch installiert war... so jetzt mal schauen ob das funzt...

hi .
klingt vielleicht doof, die frage , aber wie starte ich xine.
ich habe es heruntergeladen. xine-lib-0.9.13.tar.gz und xine-ui-.... . das habe ich korrekt entpackt, und zwar in IRGENDEINEN ordner ,und installiert ( mit ./configure , make und make install ) ging alles super.
nur starten isnich .
muß ich vielleicht woanders hin installen?

Wenn make install als root korrekt ausgeführt wurde müsste es sich mit 'xine' in der konsole oder unter kde mit <alt>+<F2> starten lassen.

xine starten is nich, weder in console noch mit alt/F2.
bei der installation habe ich keine fehlermeldung oder ähnliches gehabt.

was sagt "whereis xine"? tipp das mal so in der konsole ein. das sollte dir dann den pfad anzeigen, z.b. "/usr/local/bin/xine". wenn sowas ähnliches da ist, versuch das mal mit dem gesamten pfad in der konsole aufzurufen. versuch das am besten als normaler user.

Ich habe fast den Eindruck das du da was falsch gemacht hast:

xine startet die GUI xine-ui. Das ist das User Interface. Und das muss erstens extra compiliert werden. Damit sollte ein steuern der Lib (des wirklichen Xine) möglich sein. Mach auch mal:

su
updatedb
locate xine

Eventuell liegt es nicht in deinem PATH.


Alternativ kannst du auch andere GUIs verwenden. Z.B. Sinek oder Totem.

@ ogott: xine ist in /usr/local/lib/xine.
wenn ich das als befehl ausführe, komme ich per konqueror dahin, aber zum starten bin ich wohl zu blöd.

gib es einen bestimmten befehl zum starten von xine?

ich habe xine-lib und xine -ui runtergeladen , lib installiert ( ./configure , make, make install ). bei xine -lib kam eine meldung für das target >> install-exec-am<< gibt es nichts zu tun . bedeutet das was? die installation
schließt mit ..verlassen des verzeichnisses.....

wenn ich in xine-ui-0.9.13 ./configure ausführe, kommt die meldung

hab ich aber gemacht. direkt davor.

Du solltest mal meine Xine HowTo im HowTo Bereich lesen. Dann erledigt sich der Fehler.

make ist kein Compiler. Es ist nur etwas was einem Plan folgend Aktionen ausführt. Das macht er so lange bis er am Ende ist. Dann kommen solche "es gibt nichts mehr zu tun" Meldungen. Das ist ganz normal. Einen Fehler würde er dir anzeigen und ein make install wäre dann gar nicht erst möglich.

Ohne eine UI kannst du Xine nicht benutzen. xine-ui kannst du compilieren und installieren und dann mit "xine" starten. Sinek genauso und dann halt: "sinek". Die Xine-Lib selbst ist wie der Name schon sagt eine Libary. Und die hat nichts was man starten könnte.
