BF2 Server über Plesk

Hallo Leute ich bin ein noob in Sachen GameServer :ugly:

Ich habe grade bei meinem Plesk 8.0 das Modul für Gameserver installiert.....

Nun kann ich auch nen BF2 Server einrichten ......

Allerdings habe ich kein Plan, was ich da eingeben muss.. .....


Remote server connection details
Hostname * ::
Login user name *::
Login user password *::

^^ diese Daten fehlen mir irgendwie .......
in der Anleitung steht :::

# Login user name - the user name for logging in to the remote host through SSH
# Login user password - the user password for for logging in to the remote host through SSH

Sorry aber kein Plan was die damit meinen.
Kann mir das vll einer erklären ??

leg dafür aber bitte einen weiteren Nutzer an und nutz nicht "root".

Auf der Shell:
adduser bf2 , das Passwort kannst du dann auch festlegen.

Glaubst du man schreibt zum Spass du sollst nicht Root verwenden? Aber du weißt ja sicher was du machst :rolleyes:

Zu deinem Problem habe ich dank Google einen Eintrag in der Knowledgebase zu Plesk gefunden [1].

Wenn du dir die Manpage von sshd ansiehst wirst du feststellen dass es eine Option gibt namens "PermitRootLogin" in der sshd_config. Wenn diese den Wert "without-password" gesetzt hat kann sich Root nicht mehr über ein Passwort einloggen. Alternativ könnte bei dir "PasswordAuthentication" komplett auf "no" stehen, halte ich aber für unwahrscheinlich.

Schau das einfach nach und ändere es entsprechend ( falls nötig ). Und bitte leg einen extra Benutzer für bf2 an!
