Mointach,
ich bin von mdk9.1 auf mdk10 umgestiegen und jetzt macht mir USB zu schaffen. Wenn ich den 2.6.er benutze, schaltet sich USB mit folgender Fehlermeldung ab:


kernel: drivers/usb/host/uhci-hcd.c: c400: host system error, PCI problems?
kernel: drivers/usb/host/uhci-hcd.c: c400: host controller halted. very bad

Das ist leider unabhängig davon, ob ich APIC oder Local APIC aktiviert habe.

Wenn ich den 2.4.25er nehme, funzt USB, allerdings reagiert die usb-maus stark verzögert, wenn die CPU-Auslastung steigt. Ich verstehe das nicht, weil es mit mdk9.1 und dem 2.4.21er problemlos geklappt hat.
Das Board ist ein Abit KT7-RAID mit VIA KT133 (ohne A).
Wie gesagt, es ist völig egal, ob ich APIC oder ACPI deaktiviere.

Kannst Du dem USB Controller im BIOS einen eigenen IRQ zuweisen?

Da steht, dass sich der USB Controller den Interrupt 12 mit der Netgear Netzwerkkarte teilt.

Das stimmt. Vielleicht hilft ein Reset. Oder sollte ich dem USB keinen IRQ zuweisen?

Leider lässt es sich nicht vermeiden. Es ist völlig egal für dieses Problem, ob USB einen IRQ hat oder nicht. USB und die Netgear teilen sich auch einen PIRQ, deswegen kann ich das im BIOS nicht trennen.

Also mit dem 2.4er startet er den UHCI neu. Trotzdem verlangsamt sich das System dabei extrem.
